La otra cara de las misiones internacionalistas

HAVANA TIMES — Salir de Cuba, de la forma que sea, se ha convertido en el sueño más anhelado de la mayoría de los cubanos, como lo es para los estadounidenses el ser millonario.
Aunque las nuevas regulaciones parecen abrir un sendero de posibilidades para esta utopía, siguen siendo las misiones la manera más fácil de lograrlo.
La cooperación de nuestros profesionales en diferentes esferas sociales, especialmente la salud y la educación, ha permitido que seamos reconocidos mundialmente como uno de los gobiernos que más ayuda brinda en estas áreas tan importantes en el desarrollo de cualquier nación.
Gracias a nuestro apoyo solidario miles de pobres procedentes de los países del área han sido intervenidos quirúrgicamente de manera gratuita, tanto dentro como fuera de Cuba; miles de haitianos fueron salvados de las consecuencias del terrible terremoto, que sacudió esa desdichada tierra, y del no menos temible brote de cólera.
En más de una decena de naciones nuestros maestros y profesores han enseñado a leer y escribir a millones de personas, poniendo en práctica el método cubano Yo sí Puedo.
Nuestros colaboradores han llevado consigo no solo la ayuda profesional, sino también el apoyo espiritual al adentrarse en culturas, en ocasiones desconocidas, y formar parte de ellas.
Entre los beneficios, por la parte cubana, están los convenios bilaterales que nos han beneficiado, especialmente los del petróleo venezolano, que no es secreto para nadie.
Está, también, la mejoría del nivel de vida de las familias de los internacionalistas que han podido traer a sus hogares equipos electrodomésticos de última generación; algunos han podido comprar carros modernos usados o carros antiguos en buenas condiciones; y por supuesto la moneda dura que se le paga al colaborador al final de la misión con la que no pocos han podido comprarse una casa o arreglar y modernizar la que ya tenían.
Pero las misiones internacionalistas tienen un lado oscuro que muchos olvidan cuando salen de Cuba pensando en la computadora para el hijo, con la que nunca se podrá soñar aquí en Cuba, o una simple bicicleta que el bajo salario tampoco permite comprar, y otras cosas materiales que no son indispensables, pero si muy bienvenidas en la vida de cualquier humano.
Ese lado, del se habla poco, es la separación de la familia, especialmente los padres de los hijos. Fue peor en el caso de los médicos que pasaron cinco o más años de misión en África y Venezuela.
¿Cuántos niños, sin apenas cumplir el mes de nacido, fueron arrancados del pecho de la madre y dejados al cuidado de una abuela, una tía o algún otro familiar? ¿Cuántos se transformaron por completo durante esa edad difícil que es la adolescencia por la ausencia de los padres y por no tener quien los entendiera? ¿Cuántos comenzaron a usar el alcohol o robaron porque quedaron solos a su libre albedrío cuando todavía tenían edad para ser mimados, apoyados, guiados?
Por eso no entiendo por qué Mirelis y Luis quieren salir de misión nuevamente. Ya lo hicieron hace 5 años aproximadamente y dejaron sus dos niños con los abuelos.
En esa ocasión trajeron la pacotilla que todavía no han usado, compraron una casa en el centro de la ciudad, y como si fuera poco, compraron un vehículo automotor para la familia.
Parece que todavía no tienen suficiente, o será que el compromiso que sienten por los pueblos hermanos es mayor que el compromiso que tienen con sus propios hijos.
Por más importante que sean las colaboraciones para otros países y por mucho que mejoren las economías de nuestros hogares y familias, no puedo dejar de pensar en los que quedan atrás sufriendo la separación de sus seres queridos.
Cuando los niños estaban pequeños los abuelos lo cuidaron como pudieron. Fui testigo de las muchas veces que tuvieron que correr por accidentes domésticos, por enfermedades diarreicas o por falta de aire, los dos pequeños son asmáticos.
Ahora los niños son casi dos adolescentes, uno tiene 12 años y el menor 9, pero ¿será más fácil lidiar con ellos ahora que son más grandes y más independientes, o eso, por el contrario, hará la tarea más difícil?
Por más importante que sean las colaboraciones para otros países y por mucho que mejoren las economías de nuestros hogares y familias, no puedo dejar de pensar en los que quedan atrás sufriendo la separación de sus seres queridos.
No dejo de pensar en los golpes y frustraciones, las alegrías y triunfos que se compartirán únicamente por un correo esporádico, por un mensaje de texto en un móvil o por una llamada que nunca será tan calurosa como el abraso de mamá o el regaño de papá.
Ojalá mis vecinos se den cuenta a tiempo que sus niños necesitan más de ellos, de sus consejos, conversaciones, cariño, educación, besos, que de algún equipo moderno o de algún otro capricho imposible de conseguir en nuestro país con nuestro salario.
There is a lot of scarcity in Cuba of basic needs and other important goods that would benefit the population due to lack of purchasing power or lack of availability. Either way, these areas can be improved by manufacturing goods, alternative energy cars, organic foods, bicycles, alternative powered boats, open restaurants serving healthy organic foods, etc, etc in Cuba. Bring back manufacturing to Cuba, and heavily regulate it to make sure it adheres to mandates to keep the environment clean and safe, with healthy safe goods and products in which the employees are treated fairly and well compensated. All employees should be from the Cuban Federal employment bank in which future businesses opening up in Cuba can lease the employees from this Cuban socialist federal employment agency. All employees working for future manufacturing and heavily regulated companies that will start businesses in Cuba would be considered leased, all employees and cubans will continue to have the benefits from the socialist system – assured reiterement at age 62, nationalized socialized health care, free education to PhD, 2 month vacation per year, sick pay, etc. All leased employees responsibility is to do their job as well as snitch on their corporate employers if they find such employer breaking Cuban law, toxifying the environment or products produced, that will jeopardize the good health, safety, wellbeing of the Nation which includes animals, humans and the environment, etc. These employees will be given merits and financial compensation for criminal and murderous acts they report to the Cuban government committed by their employment company. If company performs retribution against any such employee / whistleblower, the company will be heavily fined and closed from production for 5 months. All employees still will collect pay and benefits while the resolution and correction of the company’s infractions. Hydroponic organic farms can open in Cuba to supply food to emerging restaurants, making sure that none of the crops are Monssanto GMO nor toxic to the population nor tourists like it is here in America. So, Cuba, can become a progressive and flourishing socialist state providing commodities and goods to its population with the right tweaking. If people in Cuba want to come to the USA for the illusionary lure of wealth….Let them come, as they will be met with eventual death to themselves or children do to the immense amount of chronic illnesses and epidemics released upon the US population by elites and their corporatocracies to keep people sick for profits, and perform covert eugenics. US labs arsenal of genetically modified pathogens and weaponized cyborg insects, vectors, and genetically modified pathogens aerially released in chemtrails, food, water, remote controlled to targeted iindividuals and communtiis, etc are causing illnesses which are swept under the table causing epidemics like Lyme, Morgellons, Diabetes (which is caused by US labs genetically modified strain of coxsackie B-4 virus that the pharmaceutical companies inject in cows with hormone vaccines. The RNA protein of the virus is not killed by pasteurization, nor cooking, nor boiling and infect the population eating or drinking infected cow bye products in which viral proteins cause stress on the cells of langenheins that produce insulin causing type 2 diabetes over time or kill the cells all together like in type 1 diabetes in those that consume regularly infected milk, cheese, beef. Diabetes is not an auto-immune disease like the Satanic demonic AMA (American Medical Associaltiion) want the dumbed up indoctrinated American population to believe). Also, in America epidemics of cancer do to the toxic pathogens the US has intentionally released, epidemics of autism do to contaminated vaccines given to children, joint pains do to contamination with genetically modified fungi/algae/bacteria, etc. etc. If Cubans in Cuba want to come to the Satanic USA……let them. Their children will find out sooner or later the murderous covert agenda of this imperialist, greedy, power hungry Satanic system that benefit the elites and their murderous corporatocracies at the exnense of the good health of the poeple and the environment. It would be a benefit to Cuba to open the gates as part of an ethical means of human population reduction, less adverse imprint upon the Cuban envirornment, while at the same time figuring out measures in which to improve Cuban economy, and standard of living, and at the same time establish ethical human population balance with Nature in order to maintain a thriving bio diversity of life, clean safe water, fertile soil, oxygen filled air, no pollution, etc. Let those that want to come to the USA lured by imperialistic murderous satanic USA leave and they will find out that their future generations will be sickened, covertly controlled, covertly killed as part of the eugenics elites practices performed in the USA. USA is esxponentially changing rapidly for the worse, it is a fascist country in which aim is the future enslavement of the masses. Have you heard of USA intention to micro chip all the citizens in the future? have you heard of scientist like human terrorist Harvard physicist Michio Kaku advocating Transhumanism? = the merging of humans with robotics, making them cyborgs in order for the satanic elites and their murderous imperialist corporatocracies to further control the drone populace. In the meanwhile, keep Cuban socialist and start creating a balance with private ownership of residences like recently established, and opening up businesses with international funding like in alternative energy infrastructure and manufacturing – cars, boats, even motorized bicycles, musical instruments, furniture, etc., etc. Cuba can be the Norway of this hemisphere and maintain both socialist and heavily regulated prosperous industries not greedy for money, but for maintaining a healthy equilibrium and balance honoring Nature. Rosa interesante articulo. Coincido completamente contigo. Solo queria agregar que tampoco la “solidaridad” nuestra es tan desinteresada o gratuita como el gobierno de nuestro país hace creer. La gran mayoría de esas misiones tienen un transfondo economico para el gobierno. Una gran parte de ellas son resultado de programas mundiales y el gobierno de Cuba cobra por galenos y profesores a proyectos de la ONU u otras organizaciones mundiales. Que nuestros medicos y maestros vayan casi de gratis comparado con el dinero que el gobierno recibe a cambio es otra cosa, en Cuba todos trabajamos de gratis y al menos en esas misiones recibimos “algo”, pero la realidad es que el gobierno de Cuba es bien pagado por esos servicios.

Sí, Rosa, es cierto, esa ha sido siempre la parte fea, y sobre todo triste, de las misiones en el extranjero. La separación familiar es un alto precio que se ha estado pagando desde hace años con cada salida, ya sea por un compromiso político, o en busca de ciertas mejoras materiales. A corto plazo, cabe esperar que los cambios migratorios, y un eventual incremento en los ingresos de estos profesionales, les permitan viajar de vuelta al país con más frecuencia, o llevarse consigo a sus seres queridos.
